Media and Communication

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The job of Press is to ensure you have something to take back with you to remember your time with us once it’s all over.  While the work primarily revolves around the Press Release, La Voce, the team will also keep you updated on the happenings of the conference through various social media platforms so you don’t miss out on a single moment. For those joining the Press team, we urge you to actively participate and showcase your journalistic prowess.

Working in the Press Corps is not for the faint hearted. It means signing up for what can be a formidable task, especially for first timers. But once the storm settles, it’s no wonder that journos love what they do. It’s creative, it’s demanding and it’s arguably the most dynamic role at the conference.

Welcome to the Press Corps of VIBGYORMUN 11!

It is a great honour to be the Press Head this year, and I am thrilled to be a part of VIBGYORMUN 11.
Not too long ago, I found myself in my first suit; nervous, anxious, and equally enthusiastic to attend my first Model United Nations Conference, VHMUN 7. I cannot guarantee you that MUN will change the world; however I can guarantee that this MUN will change you.

A little bit about myself: I am an ambitious teenager currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at London School of Economics. I have a keen interest in studying International Relations, Business, and Politics.

I am a state level basketball player and have played at both city and state levels, a club level boxer, a chess enthusiast, and an extraordinary extrovert. With a keen interest in writing and a burning passion for film and photography, I often find myself fascinated with the idea of expressing one’s opinions and thoughts through creative media.

I have always believed in the adage “the pen is mightier than the sword” and for me it reveals the true essence of the role of the international press. I aim to help my team reach maximum potential and wish to provide a holistic learning experience.

Feel free to contact me over email, and I will try my best to respond as quickly as possible. Together, let’s make this conference unforgettable!

It is a great honour to be the Sub-Head of the Press Corps for VIBGYORMUN 11!

I am a grade 12 student of Humanities at Vibgyor High, Mumbai. I have participated in three VIBGYORMUN conferences in various capacities; two of which were delightfully spent with the Press Corps.

This involvement has shaped my journalistic skills, and I gladly welcome you to the committee for an experience that promises to be both enriching and entertaining.

Over these two days, you will partake in a variety of fast-paced intellectual discourses and witness a multitude of blunders and bloopers.

I have utmost faith that the VIBGYORMUN Press Corps, through late night resilience and early morning cups of coffee, will be able to bolster the values of Learn, Lead, and Live, and it will play its part in immortalizing these memories through various media for the Delegation of 2021.

Best Wishes,

Anna Mathew
