[vc_row el_class=”fullImageSec”][vc_column][vc_column_text]A crisis committee is a decision making body that has more power than a traditional committee. Whilst General Assemblies recommend and build consensus, focusing on creating and refining frameworks for the nations party to align their actions, crisis committees produce action. This means that the body has power unto itself that does not need to be granted by the obedience of its members.
In the Continuous Crisis Committees, there is no set agenda. The Committee is expected to respond to the multitude of issues raised throughout the conference as corollaries of its own actions and other simulated events, so it is generally granted the freedom to deal with issues as it sees fit. The default format of debate is a continuous moderated caucus.
This year we will be taking up this crisis committee under the umbrella of HSC taking place during a critical point in history

With immense pride for being the Chair of the DISEC, I welcome you all to the prestigious VIBGYORMUN. A virtual conference is always more challenging than a physical one. I promise to make sure you all have the most stimulating and fun filled MUN of your lives, and I can assure you DISEC is going to be to a particularly important and dynamic committee.
So delegates, be thorough with your research, be proactive, and make an effort to participate in the committee. Once we see an incentive, we will make sure that you get support and end up learning something while having a great time.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am a Physics major at the University of Illinois, Urbana, Champaign.
I love MUNs, philosophy, martial arts and reading, especially Dune by Frank Herbert.
See you all at the committee sessions.

It is my honour to welcome you all to VIBGYORMUN 11 and your committee DISEC (Disarmament and International Security).
I am your Chair, but just like all of you I started off as a student of Vibgyor. I am currently pursuing Humanities, and working to pursue journalism in the near future along with advocacy and writing.
All delegates are expected to have an extremely thorough and well researched approach about your country’s stance on the agenda, and I am curious to see how all of us can work together to try and solve some very prevalent problems.
Always remember that all of the Executive Board members are always there to help all of you. Dear delegates, this is no small event. Give yourselves a lot of credit as we are together building the path for change makers of the world.
Good luck to all of you and see you all very soon!
Best wishes,
Diya Sharma

It is my utmost pleasure to welcome all the delegates who have taken this one step closer to self-development.
I am Gunish Mukherji, and I will be your chair, mentor, and friend for the upcoming days in the conference.
I am a student of Class 12 and am currently pursuing an integrated engineering course at ALLEN. Music, cycling, and gaming are my all-time stress busters. However, there is nothing that gets me more excited than an engaging conference. The commotion during breaks, the concoction of ideas, and of course, getting to make new friends is what has kept this spirit of Munning alive.
In this conference, my expectations are simple: Understand the working of our system and gain as much knowledge as you can. At the end of the day, conferences are ephemeral but the knowledge you gain is forever.
From my end, I will try my level best to make sure all the new comers feel comfortable and confident instead of feeling lost and scared. On that note, I wish you all best of luck and may the best delegate win.
Cheers!
Gunish Mukerji
