Welcome to VIBGYORMUN 10!
It is an absolute honour for me to be the Secretariat and Executive Board Advisor for VIBGYORMUN 10.
Having been a part of VIBGYORMUN since its conception, I can’t wait for you all to step into this exhilarating journey.
I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Exeter and intend to study further, delving into the applications of economics in policymaking and finance. I am passionate about Indian politics and start-ups and hope to make the world a better place through public policy and innovation.
I have been interested in MUNs since the beginning because I believe that this is the pre-eminent platform for young adults to explore and expand the skills necessary to stand out in society. My hobbies include debating, working on start-ups and reading books, particularly in the finance and current affairs genre. I passionately love cycling and often find myself riding for miles lost in my favourite hip-hop music.
I am very thankful for the experiences I gained and the people I met during my journey as a MUN participant, and I hope to make VIBGYORMUN 10 as meaningful and exuberant as it can be. Do contact me if you have any questions or concerns beforehand and I will be glad to help you.
My advice to you would be to think critically; do not become biased because of public opinion or unilateral articles on any issue. You are to act as people who decide the destinies of and for their countries. Diplomacy in the real world is not straightforward as each decision bears consequences for today and tomorrow. It is not easy to think outside the box about certain cultural or social standards but it may prove to be useful while negotiating. That is one of the goals of MUN – to understand each other and to think globally.
Best of luck in your preparations and I cannot wait to see you all ace the debate!
