Dear Delegates,
I am so grateful and excited to get the opportunity to be your Chair for the Economic and Social Affairs Committee at VIBGYOR MUN 13.
VIBGYOR MUN has always proven to be a one-of-a-kind experience for delegates and EB members alike, with the scope to connect, engage in discourse, and strengthen your core skills – stronger than ever before. It is no secret that the world is facing some of its most pressing problems – from the climate crisis, human rights issues, acute poverty, exploitative capitalism to unrest and war.
It is important that as delegates, we recognise our privilege in being able to debate these issues and speak the unfettered truth. It is also important we consider the perspectives of our fellow delegates and form connections. The greatest preparation for committee would be to genuinely care about these issues; the greatest achievement would be to go away with more perspectives than you came up with.
I am an outgoing 12th Grade student, interested in Economics and Literature. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to Taylor Swift and poetry. I am excited and looking forward to innovative and creative solutions, backed up with serious and technical debate.

Dear Delegates,
I am Shristi Dubey, studying at Thakur College of Science and Commerce, pursuing science. I am highly passionate about MUNs, besides being an artist.
There has been no turning back for me since I participated in my first MUN conference in 2020. I have been a delegate and chaired multiple Model UN conferences nationwide and will be replicating internationally.
I am glad to be Co-chairing UNDESA. This committee highly interests me as it works in order to address countries’ economic, social, and environmental concerns. UNDESA is also appreciable as it offers assistance to nations all over the world in defining agendas and making decisions. It backs international cooperation to advance universal sustainable development. I would highly suggest the delegates to be well researched regarding the committee and the agenda that would be in order!
My main objective throughout the committee session will be to create a holistic environment. I will be using my experience to serve as a guide, mentor and trainer. I would expect my delegates to not shy away from expressing themselves, because your opinion as a delegate matters.
I am very excited to interact with all of you!
