It is an honour to serve as your Chair and I am delighted to welcome you to Disarmament and International Security Committee, a body dedicated to discussing critical issues confronting the world today.
I am a Delhi native who is now enjoying the pretty skies of Pune. In the past five years, I have been deeply involved in the Model UN circuit. I have attended over 25 committees, represented many countries and held various portfolios.
Besides conferences, I enjoy discovering coffee variations at new cafés and dabbling in latte art. I cherish capturing moments on my camera and sharing my opinions on the Twitter.com.
Delegates, this committee is dynamic and comprehensive and needs your expertise to shape the future. The problem we are dealing with is not the most complex one that the executive board has ever faced, but it is definitely one of the most pressing one. Don’t worry – we will certainly make this debating experience fun for you because only then will it be useful and, not to mention, fun for us.
I will be looking forward to some informative non-MUN debates as well.

Dear Delegates,
I am Zyfn Kothavala from Pune, and I just finished my Grade 12 this year. Over the last 6 years, I have participated in over 30 MUNs conducted all across India, representing various countries and portfolios in numerous committees. I have won awards at several MUNs, including the Government Law College MUN, Harvard MUN India, and Pune’s Dynamic Training MUN. This is also my third time as a member of the VIBGYOR MUN Executive Board. In addition, I run my school’s Model UN Society with the help of some of my friends who are also chairing at VIBGYOR MUN this year. Besides MUNs, I also represent my school in debate and elocution competitions.
Chairing a DISEC committee is always a lot of fun as it is a large committee that wields immense power in the UN. When I am not a part of any committee, I enjoy making (usually bad) music, playing some badminton, a thrilling round of golf in the mornings, and acting in various productions. Obsessed with Star Wars, Harry Potter, Nerf guns, Community, and lots more, I anticipate some fun non-MUN related debates as well!

It is my utmost pleasure to welcome all the delegates who have taken this one step closer to self-development.
I am Gunish Mukherji, and I will be your chair, mentor, and friend for the upcoming days in the conference.
I am a student of Class 12 and am currently pursuing an integrated engineering course at ALLEN. Music, cycling, and gaming are my all-time stress busters. However, there is nothing that gets me more excited than an engaging conference. The commotion during breaks, the concoction of ideas, and of course, getting to make new friends is what has kept this spirit of Munning alive.
In this conference, my expectations are simple: Understand the working of our system and gain as much knowledge as you can. At the end of the day, conferences are ephemeral but the knowledge you gain is forever.
From my end, I will try my level best to make sure all the new comers feel comfortable and confident instead of feeling lost and scared. On that note, I wish you all best of luck and may the best delegate win.
